We couldn't be happier with our floors! Jim and his entire crew were great. Their passion and pride in their work really shows. We had some severe pet stains and they were able to get most of them out. The ones that couldn't be sanded out they used reclaimed wood which makes the repairs seamless. Not an easy trick on 50 year old floors. Definitely would recommend. We will be using him for future flooring projects including any new installations as well as refinishing. Jim and his team are very nice and professional.
My floors are beautiful! My experience in having my floors refinished couldn't have been any better. Jim Abeln was attentive to my needs, provided an estimate right away, showed up on time and updated me each day on the progress of the floors. Jim went the extra mile to make sure I was happy, and he knows his business well and is passionate about his work. I didn't need any repairs to my floors, but it was clear the team at Abeln Floor would have been able to handle repairs big and small. I highly recommend Abeln Floor for refinishing hardwood floors!
My brothers and I inherited our mother’s 50s ranch in Dogtown, and we needed to make some repairs and improvements to make it attractive to a buyer. The white oak floor was worn in a number of places, but there was also a room with terrible pet stains, and in the hallway, a bad patching job next to the cold air return. Jim Abeln suggested a dark stain to take care of the first problem and replacing the badly-done patch with matching wood from his stock to take care of the second. His bid was competitive, and when the work was done, the transformation was amazing! Jim is very knowledgeable about and appreciative of the local architecture and housing stock, and I appreciated working with him.

We hired Abeln Floor Systems to redo 2,500 + SF of maple flooring. They did some fantastic lace in of new boards along with putting in new walnut headers at four openings. These turned out exceptionally well. They put in extra effort to help get their work done in a timely manner. They also stained our new three story oak staircase. It looks great! Our floors are maple, a very hard wood and at times very unforgiving. They did a great job of restoring our 100+ year old floors.
